HANNAH WAITHERERO MURIITHI

Set up a law firm in the name and style of Hannah Muriithi & Company Advocates. She is the Senior Partner of the firm. Hannah is currently the chairperson of the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF)

Hannah has held key National positions in Kenya; from 2007 to date, Was the Founder and Chairperson of the Board of Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA). During her tenure as the Chairperson of KeNHA, She spearheaded the operationalization of the organization from scratch to one of the leading parastatals in the Country.

Hannah Has also served as the Chairperson of a Task Force under the Ministry of Agriculture which was mandated to and succeeded in consolidating 8 parastatals dealing with coffee, tea, sugar, horticulture, pyrethrum, sisal, cotton, coconut to form one parastatal called Agriculture Fisheries and Food Authority (AFFA).

Hannah served at Gateway Insurance Company Limited as Senior Manager, Claims and Legal Services / Secretary to Board. She rose from the position of Assistant Legal Officer to the senior management position of the Senior Manager, Claims and Legal Services/ Board Secretary. Her main responsibilities were the overall coordination, supervision, directing and controlling of the claims division for the 14 branches of the Company to ensure that the Company reduces cost of claims. She served as secretary to the Board; organized and attended Board meetings and Annual General Meetings, issued agendas and took minutes during the meetings.
